A Message from Our Patron Diana Warnock
Women have seen great changes in their lives since the first International Women’s Day in 1911.
Most of the barriers to their equality have fallen. That’s the good news. The bad news is that violence against women and girls has not stopped. Far too many women still suffer family and domestic violence. It is obvious that some men have simply not got the message: your partner and your children are not your property and you don’t have the right to control them or take out your anger on them! No-one should live in fear in their own home. That is where we should all feel safe. | Quick Links

The
Women’s Council for Domestic and Family Violence Services (WCDFVS) has been
working hard on this problem for several years…and they need your help!
The WCDFVS has launched a fund called Funds for Freedom (FFF), this is a practical way for people to support their work. Do contact the WCDFVS for information about this worthy cause. Remember: home is a place where we should all feel safe from harm. Diana Warnock |
