Through Young Peoples Eyes

The purpose of Through Young People's Eyes was to provide children with a medium (expressive arts) through which they could describe and express their experiences of violence. Some of these artworks were then used to create a series of eight community education postcards about children's experiences of violence. The expressive arts therapy groups were facilitated by Georgie Stone.

Young people between the ages of 5 and 11 had participated in Expressive Arts Therapy Workshops to express and discribe their experience of domestic and family violence.

A series of postcards was developed through the workshops that can be used in various ways including to raise awareness about young people's experience e.g. to normalise the feeling associated with exposure to domestic and family violence.
